Update October 17th

As we wrote in the last update - finally on water again 😊.

We sailed from Olympic Marina to Poros, here we anchored up, and with good holding we expected that the boat would "hang" nicely on anchor in strong winds, as it was fore casted. It turned out to be a little more wind than expected and thunderstorms as well, which fortunately went a little west of us, but almost 40 knots of wind in the gusts. We stayed in the cockpit and watched, - the boats "danced" around their anchoring 😀, but it held (described in a separate post).

We then sailed towards the Cyclades again (the third time we try), to Livadhi on Serifos - again a few days in port due to a lot of wind, but we rented a scooter and "saw" the island, we got a private tour of a local winery we discovered up on a peak + we went for a nice walk up to the chora (also described in a separate post on Facebook).

The trip then went on to Milos, we wanted to be in port, because now we were going to Santorini 😀.

The boat was well moored and we took the ferry to Santorini with a hotel accommodation - a "must see" place, but a bit like "been there, done that" , but agreat place, (also a separate post earlier). Back again at Milos, we rented a car and drove first to the north side of the island, with amazing white rock formations on the Sarakiniko Cliffs, and the next day we drove on the southeast side, on a road that I, Monica, thought was scary and undriveable, but perfectly fine, said Kai Robert, and it went ok, and we saw nature and wild scenery that was absolutely stunning 😀.

We then sailed north towards Kithnos and anchored in a beautiful bay, Fikiadha, which was split in the middle with a beautiful sandy beach. Here we spent an extra day and spent the day on a "mountain hike" with a nude bath in a hotspring, before just relaxing in the boat.

We have now arrived at Mikrolimano, a port just south of Pireaus. Here we will get the fore stay fitting in the mast changed, a warranty action from Seldèn.

It is still warm, approx. 24-25 degrees in daytime, although the nights are slightly cooler, it's no more tropical nights 😀, and nice temperature in the water, - swimming last night.

Monica and Kai Robert 😎

My name is Monica. Like to have system and order, and often gets comments , espesially about the dishwasher, - have no idea what they mean, I just want order and space for as much as possible. Didn't like the sea very well 15 years ago, but things change (thankfully) - and now it's time for a long trip. Kai Robert is very persistent :-).

My name is Kai Robert. Sailing, and especially "Blue water sailing", has long been the dream, and now it was time to do it. Everything I haven't tried before, I'm probably good at (Pippi). If not, then Monica will fix it.
