Update 17th sept.
Not many places these last days.
We stayed one night in the harbor at Kalymnos before sailing a little north to a small place, Emporios (still at Kalymnos), where we and several people stay attached to buoys belonging to restaurants inland.
"Our" buoy belonged to "Captain Kostas restaurant" and we had dinner there in the evening, transport to and from land was offered.
It was a cozy bay and we stayed an extra day there.
We then sailed straight west to LeVítha, a small island where only one family lives "doing business" with buoys in the bay and tavern in connection with their home about 10 min walk in. They also farmed with chickens and goats and sold products such as cheese and jam + souvenirs made by the kids. The family had been on the island for about 300 years, but they still "did not live there" according to public records.
We then sailed south to Nisos Astipalaia where we anchored and here we stayed for 5 days due to a lot of wind. We took the bus to the Chora (town) on Saturday and went up to the castle at the top, a great place that we could see enlightened in the evening from where we were at anchor.
According to the weather forecasts, a lot of wind would be blowing all over the Aegean Sea and we sailed to Skala Astipalaia (the Chora) to check the conditions in the port there .... but unsure if it would be safe, so we set off back to Kos. There we had booked 2 nights, but it was completely impossible to get extended due to lack of space, so we were recommended Mandraki Kos, the port in the center of Kos, and here we have been since.
There we also met a Norwegian who sailed alone for 4 years, he has been in the Mediterranean for about 2 years - "fresh guy". 😊
Monday was the last day/evening in Kos, and early this morning , before sunrise, we headed west toward the Cyclades, a trip of about 80nm.
Monica and Kai Robert 😎
